Originally a D&D 5e half-elf Warlock of the Raven Queen/Rogue, she's sat in limbo for several years as I rotate her in my brain. Raised in a noble family, a bit neglected, she used party tricks to convince her parents of magical aptitude. After being sent off to magic school, she begs, borrows, steals, and cheats for several years (because she has no actual magical aptitude). She gets kicked out and disowned for embaressment at some point, becomes a charlatan for a few years, and meets the raven queen one night, making a bet she can't remember. She wakes up with magic because her existance is a joke. Joined by a raven companion named "Bennet" whom she has a telpathic link with.
A few piccrews of her I enjoy:
Some more physical details on her that I am looseley copying from her character sheet:
Born to Duchess Azure and Ambassador Brone Arcadia in Crescentfall (country). Performed “magic” for the first time at 13, really just cheap tricks and a desire for attention from neglectful parents.
Then, she was sent away to Gendeller’s Academy for Invocation and Fundamentals. During her time there, she excelled at the mundane skills and traded her proficiency in school for cheating the way through the grades with and for other students. She was turned in to the Chancellor at 17 by Mythias Glade, a year ahead of her human mage.
She was kicked out and disowned by her family for being an embarrassment. At nineteen, after surviving on the streets, she joined a shady group, which she left a few years later once she got a gig as a tavern entertainer. At 24, she encountered her patron and developed powers, reluctantly going on an adventure to fund out who her patron is and ask them to take it back.
